Food is one of the oldest and most diverse aspects of culture. They are innately and irrevocably tied. So many of us have our deepest and dearest memories tied to food, maybe a plate our grandmother made during a special holiday, or our favorite dish to have when we are feeling down. Over the last year, I partnered with OpenTable on all their inclusive marketing initiatives. Our objective was to tell the story of culture and community through food. During our partnership, I ensured all marketing assets (on social media, the blog, the website and email) were reflective of the diversity and multifaceted nature of food and the restaurant industry in the United States.
I wanted their platform to highlight how food carries culture, telling stories that bring people together over a shared meal. Whether it was a chef’s journey or the history of a dish, we showed that every plate has a story worth sharing.
