History (and data) proves that travel has catered to the most privileged demographics in our population, oftentimes excluding marginalized, or underestimated, communities. So the question becomes, is movement, or travel, a human right? My challenge to the travel industry is to shift the perception of travel, to increase access and equity and ensure no one is denied what is often a formative, or even life changing, experience.
In collaboration with a leading meta search travel site, I spearheaded the development of an inclusive marketing strategy and a social impact framework. Through comprehensive research, I uncovered financial constraints as the primary barrier to travel for diverse communities. My recommendations encouraged a transformative approach to redefining travel, emphasizing accessibility for people across socioeconomic backgrounds. This work reflects my commitment to equity and innovation, fostering a vision for travel that bridges opportunity gaps while driving meaningful impact.
